Method 1

Installing Android M on Nexus 5, 6, 9

Step 1: Download MULTI ROM

Step 2: Download Android M dev preview ROM

Step 3: Install Multi ROM on your NEXUS

Step 4: Boot to Multi ROM recovery mode.

Step 5: Add Rom by Selecting Advance and then selecting Multi Rom

Step 6: Choose the Rom (Android M dev preview rom which was downloaded in the second step)

 

Now your Nexus Device will restart and load some data’s which might take some time, so be patient and there it goes, enjoy your Android M on Nexus.

 

Method 2

Flash the image to your device with computer

Step 1: Download the system image for the device.

Step 2: Get a Fast-boot tool.

Step 3: Connect your Nexus in fast-boot mode using the adb tools.

Step 4: Execute the command adb reboot bootloader

Step 5: Press Volume UP + Volume down + Power as the nexus boots up.

Step 6: Open a terminal in the unzipped folder and type in flash-all. This will install the necessary bootloaders.

Step 7: Once the device restarts execute fastboot oem lock to lock the bootloader for security

Flashing through MAC and Linux OS

Download the image for your Specific Nexus device.

Step 1: Open the terminal and extract the file using the command

tar-zxvf volantis-MPZ44Q-preview-d15ad483.tar.gz

Step 2: connect with usb and computer

Step 3: Linux user doesn’t need drivers so in the terminal write these commands.

adb eboot bootloader (this will reboot your device)

Step 4: fastboot oem unlock

Step 5: bash flash-all.sh

 

And there you go; you have successfully flashed Android M on the Nexus Device.

Note: flashing the device will eras your data so please take a backup using Nan droid backup or other Backup app.

Now you can easily install Android M on Nexus 5,67 Enjoy !

      Which phone you are using ? Android m is not officially released for all devices. You can only install android m on Nexus devices
